A popular online casino site is making a name for itself for its passion for the weird and unusual. Online casino Golden Palace has supported a string of odd marketing ploys for the last few years. Its latest stunt is the sponsorship of Will Stuckenberg’s van, soon to be pushed off a cliff and demolished. While this may sound odd to many, fans of the online casino have hardly raised their eyebrows.
Golden Palace has been a supporter of radical marketing stunts for the last few years. In the words of a spokesman for the online casino, “we like to be the first to do things.” The online casino made headlines last year when it paid a boxing fighter to tattoo its name onto his head. Golden Palace was also behind the purchase of a cheese sandwich that reportedly bore a close resemblance to the Virgin Mary. More recently, the online casino firm paid an undisclosed sum of cash for the honour of purchasing William Shatner’s kidney stone.
Stuckenberg hit upon a winner when he decided to auction off advertising space on his old minivan via online shopping site EBay. The advertising spots were immediately snapped up by the online casino firm, which has paid $2.550 to have its logo and information on its online casino website displayed on the side of Stuckenberg’s car.
